Grass pink / Calopogon tuberosus – Wildflower Art Print

High quality art print reproduction of my original wildflower drawing inspired by the wildflowers that grow in Ontario, Canada. The lovely thing about wildflowers is that they also grow in many other areas. To learn more about this beautiful wildflower and view its range map to find out if it grows near you, visit this link to connect to the USDA Plant Database: https://plants.usda.gov/core/profile?symbol=CATUT

All art prints are printed locally in St. Catharines, Ontario on heavy weight, acid-free paper. Two print sizes are available:

SMALL – 8×8″
LARGE – 12×12″

My square format art prints are *exactly* 8×8″ and 12×12”

● What makes each print unique…

I personally sign the back side of all prints using black archival ink. This print also features the Latin and common wildflower names which I have handwritten in archival ink on the front side.

● How your order will arrive…

All orders are packaged with love and care. Art prints are sealed inside a plastic sleeve with a card backing and shipped flat in a rigid envelope.

● Framing & display…

This print works well as a stand alone piece but, being part of a series, it also works well alongside my other wildflower drawings.

Please note that this print is sold unframed. I have sized my prints to fit into readily available frames. 12×12″ prints fit beautifully into IKEA’s Ribba frames. I have found great 8×8″ frames at Michaels, but many other affordable framing options are available for this popular square format.

● More information about this wildflower drawing:

We’ve moved a lot as a family over the years – from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Kingston, Ontario, to Victoria, British Columbia, all the way to Erie, Pennsylvania, and now to St. Catharines, Ontario, where we will really, truly grow where we are planted and stay for a long, long time. In each new place, I’ve found that the trees, flowers and other elements of the natural environment have had a huge impact on both my daily life during that chapter in my life and also my most vivid memories of each place. Wildflowers hold a special place in my heart. I love how they scatter and explore and pop up in strange and beautiful places. They’re imperfect, just like a drawing is. And I guess I can relate to that “scattering.” A few years ago I started drawing Pennsylvania wildflowers. Now I’m going to try to get to know Ontario’s wildflowers. This one, Grass Pink, seemed like a good place to start since it is a Pennsylvania wildflower, too. As it turns out, it can be found across a large area which encompasses everywhere I’ve ever lived with the exception of British Columbia.
