Website design for a multi-award–winning journalist, author, editor, professor, and speaker
Eternity Martis needed a modern, professional website to house her growing portfolio, highlight her award-winning work, and support her public speaking, teaching, and upcoming projects. This was my second collaboration with Eternity, following our earlier work on the Reporting in Black Communities website. The goal for this project was to create a beautiful and functional digital home base — one that offers a streamlined visitor experience and presents her work with clarity and focus.
Built on Squarespace, the site includes nine custom pages and integrates featured highlights, a newsletter signup, and intuitive navigation to support both casual browsing and deeper engagement. The visual system draws from the bold, warm palette of Eternity’s book covers, extending those colours into a structured, versatile digital identity.

Editorial-Inspired, Human-Centred Design
The design pairs the geometric typeface Soleil for headings with the serif Coranto 2 for paragraphs — a combination chosen for its clarity, warmth, and editorial tone. These choices create a professional yet approachable reading experience.
The build also included essential SEO and accessibility setup to ensure the site performs well and remains inclusive for a wide audience.
This was a thoughtful, collaborative project that resulted in a polished, flexible website — one built to support Eternity’s current work and future growth.
